SOG man killed, eight others wounded in Kashmir road accident

Srinagar, Jun 17 (UNI) A Special Operation Group (SOG) personnel was killed and eight others wounded in a road accident in the Anantnag district of south Kashmir today, police said.

They said a Bunker vehicle of the SOG, a counter-insurgency force of the Jammu and Kashmir Police, turned turtle at Satkipora in Srigufwara area of Anantnag district.

The vehicle, bearing registration number JK03A-3819, belonged to the SOG camp at Srigufwara.

A constable, identified as Sukhwinder Kumar alias Bunty, was killed while eight others were wounded in the accident. The injured were hospitalised, police added.

Five of the wounded were later referred to a Srinagar hospital.

Police have registered a case in this regard.
