Rs 500 pension hike to 1984 Sikh-riot victims

Lucknow, June 17 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati has ordered an increse of Rs 500 per month in the pension amount to 1984 Anti-Sikh-riot victims.

The riot victims, including widows, handicapped and elderly will receive pension of Rs 2500 per month.

The CM took the decision on the recommendations of the Nanavati Inquiry Commission under the Centre's Rehabilitation package.
