Pratibha to participate in women's rally on July 1

Chennai, Jun 17: Pratibha Patil, the United Progressive Alliance(UPA)-Left Front nominee for the Presidential election, will participate in a women's rally to be held here on July one, organised by the DMK government.

According to an official press release, Ms Patil would also meet the State MLAs to seek their support. She spoke to Chief Minister M Karunanidhi over phone and thanked him for his support.

During the conversation, Mr Karunanidhi urged her to participate in the rally, to which she readily agreed, the release added.
