Non-Gazetted employees in Bihar demand redressal of their demands

Patna, Jun 17 (UNI) Bihar and Jharkhand Non-gazetted Employees Federation has demanded the setting up of a committee called ''Karamchari Sewa Sudhar Aayog'' under the chairmanship of a retired High Court Chief Justice.

Federation chief Gopal Prasad Tripathi here today said even after six decades of independence colonial service codes were still in force for them.

''This was the sign of colonial mindset which places the non- gazetted employees as second rated citizens,'' he said.

Alleging that though the government had set up several committees for redressal of grievances of various sections of employees, the non-gazetted employees remained out of their purview, Mr Tripathi urged the chief ministers of both the states to set up this committee without any delay.
