Kandasamy inducted into Pondy Cabinet

Puducherry, June 17 (UNI) Congress Legislative Member M Kandasamy was inducted into Rangasamy Cabinet here today.

Puducherry Lt Governor Mukut Mitti administered the oath of office and secrecy to Mr Kandasamy at a function held at Rajnivas.

With the induction of Mr Kandasamy, the total strength of the Puducherry Cabinet has become six.

Mr Kandasamy was included following several dalit organisations, demanding a dalit representative in the Cabinet.

Chief Minister N Rangasamy, his Cabinet colleagues, Speaker R Radhakrishnan, Legislator M Ramadass, AICC Secretary Sudhakar Reddy and other senior officials attended the function.

Earlier, Chief Secretary Pradeep Mehra read out the warrant of appointment from the Union Home Ministry.
