Nagaland: GBs, DBs flay NSCN-IM
Kohima, Jun 17: The Joint Forum of the Gaon Burah Federation (GB) and Nagaland Dobasis (interpreter) (DB) Association today declared that it has lost confidence in the leadership of the NSCN-IM and its policy of violence.
The GBs and DBs made the declaration following the killings of five NSCN (K) cadres by the NSCN-IM in Wokha district on June 13.
In a statement here, the Joint Forum said such gun culture and killing of NSCN (K) men was a direct threat and challenge to the resolution to bring about peace amongst the Naga national workers.
The Joint Forum had held its first meeting with the NSCN-IM in Dimapur on November 25 last year under the theme: ''To stop fratricidal killings and bloodshed amongst the Naga national workers'', wherein the NSCN-IM kilonsers (ministers) had responded positively to the Forum's clarion call to stop fratricidal killings and bloodshed among the Naga brethren.
However, the Joint Forum alleged that NSCN-IM Chairman Isak Chishi Swu, who had made ''solemn declarations'' at Camp Hebron on January 13 this year, played ''double standards'' and sabotaged the ongoing peace process in Nagaland.
