Lucknow, June 17 (UNI) The Uttar Pradesh Deputy General of Police (DGP) G L Sharma today ordered disposal of disputed matters at grass-root level itself.

''Most of the incidents occur over land and property, which later snowball into heinous crimes. Therefore the same should be control at the initial level itself,'' Mr Sharma said in an order to all his officials.

Crime rate can be controlled if these incidents are sorted out at police stations by maintaining beat wise record at rural and local levels, the DGP noted.

The matters can be disposed off with the help of tehsils and block office employees and the unsolved disputed matters can further be proceeded under Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC).

Senior police officials will inspect that there is no laxity in execution of the orders, which would further be cross-checked by Chief Minister Mayawati, he added.
