Court issues warrant to PMK member in assault case
Kancheepuram, June 17 (UNI) The Kancheepuram District Court has issued a warrant to the Pattali Makkal Katchi(PMK) District Secretary Kumarasamy today for assaulting a retired police superintendent Jagadesan following a quarrel over car parking last year.
Police said the incident occurred when Mr Jagadesan was proceeding in his vehicle through a petrol pump and the car of Mr Kumarasamy obstructed his way. When the PMK member was urged to pave way, he displayed his clout and attacked the ex-police official.
Based on the complaint lodged by Mr Jagadesan, a police team, as per the order of the District Superintendent A Amalraj, was making efforts to trace Mr Kumarasamy.
Meanwhile, the District Court Judge Bhaktavatchalu had issued warrant to the PMK member, who hailed from this district.
