Clear skies make MP hotter
Bhopal, June 17 (UNI) Generally clear skies over Madhya Pradesh today led to a rise in temperature, a stark contrast to pre-monsoon showers that were lashing the state.
The state capital recorded a high of 38 C, six notches higher than yesterday.
''Isolated overnight rain took place in Rewa, Gwalior and Indore divisions. Precipitation figures are Gwalior 5 cm, Khandwa 3 cm, Rewa 2 cm and Satna 1 cm. Shivpuri was the state's hottest at 40 C.
Upper air cyclonic circulation exists in the vicinity of Gujarat's Saurashtra and Kutch,'' said a Regional Meteorological Centre official.
Thundershowers are likely in every district over the next 24 hours.
