BJP top brass gives free hand to Raman vis-a-vis reshuflle

Raipur, June 17 (UNI) Enthused by the recent success in Chhattisgarh's Malkharauda and Khairagarh assembly bypolls, the BJP high command has given Chief Minister Raman Singh a free hand vis-a-vis a Cabinet reshuffle.

Confirming this to UNI today, highly-placed party sources pointed out that Khairagarh was a Congress citadel while Malkharauda was wrested from the BSP. The leadership had been even more concerned about the debacle in Rajnandgaon Lok Sabha constituency than the loss at Kota.

Dr Singh recently met BJP President Rajnath Singh at Delhi and the latter leader would undertake a day-long visit here on June 19 to take part in a state-level core group meeting that was to be recently held in Delhi.
