BJD to support NDA Presidential nominee on Prez-Naveen

Bhubaneswar, Jun 17 (UNI) BJD supremo and Orissa Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today announced his support to the NDA nominee in the Presidential elections.

Mr Patnaik said the BJD will abide by the decision of the NDA in supporting the candidature for the President post. He said a meeting of all the alliance partners of the NDA will be held in Delhi to decide the candidature for the country's top post.

Meanwhile, Orissa Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) president Jayadev Jena today criticised the Chief Minister for not supporting a woman candidate, being projected by the UPA as the first woman President. By not supporting the woman candidate for the post, the BJD has shown an anti-woman stand, Mr Jena claimed.
