14-year-old boy held for 9-year-old's murder

Mumbai, June 17 (UNI) In a shocking incident, police here today arrested a 14-year-old boy for allegedly killing his 9-year-old neighbour Parth Panchal.

The body of nine-year-old Parth, who was missing since yesterday, was found inside a cupboard in his own home. He had been strangled to death with a rope.

The Dindoshi police have arrested 14-year-old Saurabh. However, the motive behind the crime is unclear.

Police said Saurabh had recently learned that he was an adopted son which had depressed him. The two boys might have quarrelled over a pet dog, police said.

According to police Saurabh used to show pornograhic films to the kids in the neighbourhood, including Parth.

The boy will be produced before a Juvenile Board at Dongri in South Mumbai, police said.
