Kanimozhi in RS is classic example of dynastic politics:Jaya

Chennai, June 16 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi's poetess daughter Kanimozhi was ''unfit'' to become Rajya Sabha member, AIADMK General Secretary J Jayalalithaa alleged today.

Talking to newspersons after party's executive committee meeting here, she said Ms Kanimozhi's only qualification was that she is the daughter of Mr Karunanidhi and she had not doneany service to the DMK, to which she belonged.

There were many deserving candidates in the party but promoting Ms Kanimozhi while sidelining others was nothing but ''dynastic politics''. ''If she is not the daughter of Mr Karunanidhi, she would have never become Rajya Sabha member,'' Ms Jayalalithaa said.

It would be a mockery if she was given a place in the cabinet, she said while answering a question. ''This shows how our politics is touching a new low,'' she added.

It was a great mockery when the DMK had made Dayanidhi Maran a cabinet Minister and it would be worse if Ms Kanimozhi was appointed as a cabinet Minister, she alleged.
