Guj Govt grants Rs 101cr for Nirmal Gujarat drive

Gandhinagar, June 16: In order to provide sanitation facilities to families living below poverty line, the Gujarat government has granted Rs 101 crore under the cleanliness drive of 'Nirmal Gujarat'.

Addressing reporters in this regard, Agricultural Minister Bhupendrasingh Chudasama said ''Under the scheme, each family living below poverty will be provided with Rs 1000 to construct toilet in their house.'' ''Apart from the poor in urban areas, 12 lakh poor families in villages have been provided with more than 40,00,000 toilets,'' he added.
