Govt warns of action against theatres charging high rates

Chennai, June 16 (UNI) The Tamil Nadu government today warned the theatres here of stern action if they charged rates higher than the official ones for the latest release 'Sivaji'.

The warning came in the wake of a poser to Chief Minister M Karunanidhi by the media that some theatres, where Rajnikanth's 'Sivaji' was being screened, were charging heavy rates.

''If the government receives such complaint, action will be taken against such theatres,'' an official release said.
