Bank of Maharashtra offers new Account at Rs 10

New Delhi, Jun 16: In order to make a niche in North India, Bank of Maharashtra today said it is running a campaign named 'Deposits Mobilisation Campaign', offering school students to open an account for as low as Rs 10.

However, no cheque book would be issued for the students' account.

The bank also held a camp regarding the new offers at its Copernicus Marg branch yesterday.

''Other offers include real time gross settlement, mediclaim policy, zero balance salary account for government employees and loan facilities for the individuals,'' Branch Manager of the Bank Mr Lalit Uppal told sources.

In real time gross settlement, a person can transfer any amount of money from some other bank to this bank provided he/she has an account, within an hour, he said.

Bank of Maharashtra is running the above campaign effective from June 1, this month till June 30.

The bank has 30 branches and 25 ATMs here at present.
