Bank credit:deposit ratio at 64 pc in Rajkot

Rajkot, June 16 (UNI) The Banks' District Level Consultative Committee (DLCC) met here recently under the chairmanship of Rajkot additional district collector Pankaj Thakar to review the progress of the banks.

The credit:deposit ratio in Rajkot was at 64 per cent, according to the meeting deliberations.

The meeting reviewed the achievements under government-sponsored programmes such as ''Bajpai Bankable Yojana'', ''Swarna Jayanti Shahari Rojgar Yojana (SJSRY)'', ''Swaran Jayanti Gram Swarozgar Yojana (SGSY)'', ''Prime Minister Rojgar Yojana (PMRY)'', and others.

Mr Thakkar urged the need to extend credit to applicants under the BPL list, downtrodden families, small and marginal farmers, and businessmen.
