Yet another CPM party member killed allegedly by Jharkhand Partymen

Jhargram(West Midnapore), Jun 15 (UNI) Within three days of gunning down a CPI(M) activist near Jamboni, another CPI(M) party member Sk Siddiqui was today gunned down allegedly by Jharkhand Party supporter in Kapasita village under the same police station.

R Rajshekaran, SP West Midnapur District confirmed the incident.

The previous incident occurred on June 11.

Siddique, was returning home after attending a party meeting in a Chichra-Jhargram mini-bus at about 1300 hrs as the bus approached the Dulung river and slowed down to cross a causeway near Kapasita village he was thrown outside by some of his co-passengers.

As he fell from the bus, seven - eight people came out of a dilapidated house nearby and fired seven rounds at him, fataly injuring his head. Siddique died on the spot.

When the CPI(M) supporters expressed their grievances, about 3,000 Jharkhandi (JKP) supporters assembled on the other side of Dulung river.

A large contingent of police reached the spot and took control of the situation.

A 12 hours' dawn-to-dusk bandh was called throughout Jamboni tomorrow by CPI(M), demanding the arrest of culprits in both these murders.
