Suspended Gujjar MLA warns govt not to disrupt Pushkar Mahapanchayat

Ajmer, June 15 (UNI) Suspended BJP MLA Atar Singh Bhadana today of ''grave consequences'' if the Rajasthan government tried to disrupt the Gujjar Mahapanchayat, to be held in Pushkar on June 24.

''There are reports that the government will try to disrupt the Mahapanchayat by stopping the Gujjars from attending it. If so happens, the government will be responsible for any law and order problem,'' Mr Bhadana told mediaperson here.

However, he assured the gathering, expected to be attended by one lakh community members, will be held ''peacefully''.

Holding Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje for breaking out of violence during the week-long agitation by the community for their demand of ST status, Mr Bhadana said she gave nothing but empty assurances.
