Slain bank dacoit's brother approaches court seeking probe
Ranchi, Jun 15 (UNI) Brother of a slain dacoit, who was killed on June 7 in an encounter with police after bank robbery in Ranchi, today filed a writ petition in Jharkhand High Court seeking a judicial probe into the killing.
Gorakhnath Ram, brother of the slain dacoit called Deekay, alleged the Ranchi police killed his broither in fake encounter and termed it as ''a cold blooded murder.'' Ram urged an inquiry into the matter by a High Court judge.
as his brother was preparing for competitive exams.
On June 7, seven armed youths looted Rs 1.53 crore from Syndicate Bank at Elbart Ekka Chowk. However, police killed three of the group in an encounter when they were taking shelter in an official accomodation at Deputy Para here later in the day.
One robber was injured while three of the gang were still at large.
