New Delhi, Jun 15 (UNI) After presenting professionals from various walks of life with two left feet as professional dancers, the reality show wagon wheel is now set to showcase the small screen's lovable characters as experts in "stand-up comedy".

Close on the heels of success of 'Jhalak Dikhla Ja', a show which had celebrities like cricketer Ajay Jadeja, actors Rati Agnihotri and Mona Singh, noted cook Jiggs Kalra and filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar vie with one another for the title of best dancers, Sony entertainment television is now coming up with a new reality show which will have several noted television celebrities compete among themselves in terms of their ability to ''tickle the funny bone'' of the viewer.

'Comedy Circus', a new reality-based comedy format show to be aired on Sony entertainment television from tomorrow, will have popular television actors like Ketaki Dave ('Dakshaben' of 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi'), television's "eternal vamp" Urvashi Dholakia, Karishma Tanna (Indu of 'Kyunki Saas bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi'), TV's "favourite Dewar" Ali Asgar, TV's "chocolate boy" Swapnil Joshi, the versatile Varun Badola and Kiran Karmakar (Om of 'Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki') team up with seven well known stand up comedians in their bid to make the viewers laugh.

Addressing a press meet in the Capital to announce the launch of the show, to be aired every Saturday at 2130 hrs, the producer Gurpal Singh, himself a noted stand up comedian, said,''it is a kind of show which has never been done before on Indian TV, a new kind of format that we have developed.'' The TV celebrities, along with their partners, will compete for the top position of 'Comedy Circus' in the TV series, to be aired over a period of 13 weeks.

Judging the 'jodis' in their ability to 'tickle the funny bone' of the viewers will be character actor-cum comedian Satish Shah and the famous TV comeddiene Archana Puran Singh.

Every week the judges and studio audiences will nominate two of the weekest 'jodis', one of whom will be voted out by the remaining participants themselves, until the announcement of the "ultimate jodi".
