NMCE launches 41 new series, 6 new 'spread series' in futures
Ahmedabad, Jun 15 (UNI) The National Multi-Commodity Exchange (NMCE) is launching 41 new series and six new 'spread series' for futures contract in different commodities with effect from June 16.
The new contracts being launched from tomorrow include gold, silver, cardamom, pepper, rubber, gur, guargum, isabgul, cumin seed, cotton seed, linseed, sesame, mustard/rapeseed, groundnut, coconut, soyabean, their oils and cakes, copra, crude palm oil, RBD palmolein, rice bran, moong, masoor and sugar.
The trading cycle of most of these commodities will expire on September 14, 2007, that in rubber and sack on October 15, castor seed (10MT) on November 15, and that in pepper on December 15, 2007.
The six new 'spread series' include three each in pepper and rubber, which will expire on July 14, August 14 and September 14, 2007 respectively.
NMCE also provides electronic platform for trading in other commodities, such as base metals, kilo gold, raw jute, chana, soya-oil and guar seed, which begin and expire on different days of the month.
The delivery centres for different commodities, as per specified quality, are at specified warehouses of the Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) in the country. This is backed finances from Punjab National Bank (PNB), besides robust and reliable CWC delivery settlement system.
