Ahmedabad, June 15 (UNI) The Gujarat High Court today admitted an application moved by three Rajasthan police officers, challenging the lower court order, that had rejected their anticipatory bail in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case last week.

In their application, the three officers --Abdul Rehman, Shyam Singh and Himanshu Singh--said they had already submitted their service weapons and were cooperating with the authorities.

The High Court has fixed the hearing on June 18.

All officers of Rajasthan police were present at the time of joint operation by Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh police on November 22, 2005, when Sohrabuddin was killed.

In all, six police officers including three IPS officers have been arrested and lodged in the Sabarmati jail so far. They are DIG D G Vanzara, who headed the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) at that time, his assistant Rajkumar Pandian, who was SP, and SP M N Dinesh, an officer of Rajasthan police.
