CBI raids senior Income-Tax official
Mumbai, June 15 (UNI) The anti-corruption Bureau of the CBI conducted raids at the premises of Deputy Director (Investigation), Income Tax, Dhanajay Kumar and have registered a case under section 120 (B) of the IPC.
''The raids, which lasted till 2100 hrs on Thursday night, were carried out across Maharshtra, UP and Bihar,'' a CBI official said.
'' Subsequently, a case was registered under section 120 (B)of the IPC against Mr Dhanajay, who is a 2000 batch Indian Revenue Service officer, and two other persons. While one of them is a Chartered Accountant, the other is an employee of an angadia,'' the official said.
The CBI claimed that the IT officer in connivance with the co-accused agreed to accept illegal gratification to release some property of the angadia.
