5 killed, 5 injured in Mehsana road accident

Ahmedabad, June 15 (UNI) Five people were killed and five others injured when their car collided with a truck today on the Ahmedabad-Mehsana highway.

The accident occurred opposite Saffrony resort, 20 kms from Mehsana, at 0130 hrs. The car driver Pankajkumar Sivaji Gore failed to control the vehicle after it hit the right side of the truck, which was coming from Kalol. The car jumped over the road divider and overturned.

The deceased were car driver Gore,27, Ganeshbhai M Rawal,45, Jaideepbhai Sivaji Mali,27, Kalubhai Dolabhai Bharwad, 45 and Santosh Rajput,40. All of them were residents of Bhat village of Gandhinagar district.

Two persons were admitted to Mehsana hospital while three others were rushed to Apollo hospital in Ahmedabad.
