Youth attempts suicide in high court premises
Mumbai, Jun 14 (UNI) A youth, accused of kidnapping a girl from Pune, today threatened to commit suicide in the Bombay High Court premises.
The same youth had earlier also tried to commit suicide in the High Court premises, just outside a court room.
Vikas Verma, son of an Indian Air Force officer, facing criminal prosecution for kidnapping a young girl, reached the third floor of a High Court building and, while suspending himself from a pipe, threatened to jump down.
He was, however, rescued by police and fire brigade personnel.
The incident occured shortly after the court resumed work after lunch break.
A few months back, Vikas had tried to commit suicide by slitting his wrist just outside a courtroom where his matter was scheduled to be heard. He had then tried to commit suicide as his girlfreind had refused to talk to him.
