Woman nomination to top office a good message to world: Pratibha

Jaipur, June 14 (UNI) Rajasthan Governor and UPA nominee for the Presidential election Mr Pratibha Patil today said nomination of a woman for the highest office of the country would give out a good message across the world and enhance the image of Indian democracy.

Talking to mediapersons at the Raj Bhawan here soon after her arrival from Mount Abu, Mr Patil said she was happy that a woman was choosen by the UPA for the top post of the country.

She said she wanted to convey her gratitude to UPA Chairperson Ms Sonia Gandhi and all the UPA allies for her nomination.

Mr Patil said the first hint about the UPA's decision in her favour was conveyed earlier in the day when she received a call from Mr Gandi's office.

She said she was planning to go to Delhi in tje next two or three days.

About her experience in Rajasthan's Raj Bhanwan, the governor said she has had a good stint.
