Tata Indicom to invest Rs 100 crore in Punjab
Chandigarh, Jun 14 (UNI) Tata Indicom, India's leading telecom service provider today announced that it will invest additional Rs 100 crore for the expansion of its network in Punjab and for setting up of its exclusive stores in the state.
Speaking at the launch of company's new offer 'Freedom Call Voucher', which offers free and unlimited outgoing calls to any local Tata phone, Mr Subhash Arya, Circle Operating Officer-Punjab, Tata Teleservices Limited, claimed that the company at present covers around 270 towns and 3,000 villages in Punjab, the state with the highest tele density in the country.
"At present the company has 7.5 lakh subscribers in Punjab and in current fiscal year we are aiming to double it", Mr Arya said.
