Pramod Mahajan murder case trials adjourned till June 28
Mumbai, June 14 (UNI) Hearing in the Pramod Mahajan murder case has been adjourned till June 28 as the judge presiding over the case has been transferred to a different court.
Additional sessions judge S P Davare, who was presiding over the trial, has been transfered to the NDPS court recently and he has not yet been replaced.
Special public prosecutor Ujwal Nikam informed that according to a Bombay High Court circular, an NDPS court judge cannot conduct trials into cases relating to the Indian Penal Code.
BJP leader Pramod Mahajan was shot allegedly by his younger brother Praveen on April 22 last year. Pramod Mahajan had succumbed to his injuries on May 3.
