MP to set up School of Governance
Bhopal, Jun 14 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh government has decided to establish a School of Governance and Policy Analysis.
Approval in this regard was granted by the Cabinet that met here today under Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's chairmanship.
Briefing newspersons School Education Minister Narottam Mishra said, ''the School's governing body will be headed by the Chief Minister while the Chief Secretary will head the executive body. The draft policy provides for including five non-officials in both committees.'' The Cabinet also sanctioned expansion of the Satpura Thermal Power Station by adding two units of 250 MW each. BHEL was allocated the work of installing turbines, generator and the transformer yard.
Instead of going for global tenders, BHEL was allocated the work to avoid delay, Mr Mishra clarified.
The Cabinet approved construction of a building at New Delhi -- 'Madhyanchal Bhavan' -- that would cost Rs 21.94 crore.
A bill to amend the Court Fees Act would be introduced in the Assembly's next session along with another proposal for legislation to replace the Madhya Pradesh Private Professional Educational Institutions Ordinance, 2007.
The Cabinet sanctioned filling up of 133 vacancies, through the Public Service Commission, in the School Education Department.
Vacancies in the Panchayat and Rural Development Department would also be filled.
The Cabinet approved allotment of 1,486.47 hectares of non-forestry wasteland in Shivpuri district for jatropha cultivation and setting up of a biodiesel plant by a Delhi-based company M/s Cosmo Biofuels. Initially, the licence would be granted for two years.
Honorarium for anganwadi workers and their assistants was hiked by Rs 300 and Rs 150 respectively.
