Kalam condoles death of Mahatma Gandhi's grandson

New Delhi, June 14 (UNI) President A P J Abdul Kalam has condoled the death of Mahatma Gandhi's grandson Ramachandra Gandhi, describing him as a philospher and visionary.

''Prof. Ramachandra Gandhi was a well-known personality, philosopher, visionary, writer and an outstanding scholar,'' Dr Kalam said in his message to Ramachandra's brothers-- West Bengal Governor Gopalkrishna Gandhi and writer Rajmohan Gandhi.

Son of Devdas Gandhi, Ramchandra (70) was found dead in a room at the India International Centre yesterday morning.
