Hema appreciates saris, with art work by Bastar tribals

Mumbai, June 14 (UNI) BJP MP and actress Hema Malini today appreciated the art work done on saris by tribals of Bastar in Chhattisgarh, and said she would definitely wear them.

Speaking at the inauguration of an exhibition, organised by Bastar Mitra Mandal and Mahila Arthik Vikas Mahamandal, Hema Malini said ''I had heard of the art work from Bastar, but today I got the opportunity to see the same and the saris and gift articles are quite good''.

State BJP President Nitin Gadkari, who was instrumental in getting the exhibition here, said their main aim was to make the tribals self-dependent.

He said earlier an exhibition of articles prepared from Bamboo was held and it was also appreciated.
