Haryana govt to set up Ultra modern cattle feed plant at Rohtak

Chandigarh, June 14 (UNI) The Haryana government has decided to set up a new ultra modern Cattle Feed plant with a capacity of 150 Tonnes Per Day (TPD) at Rohtak at a cost of five crore rupees.

The capacity of the plant would be later expanded up to 300 TPD, Haryana Minister of State for Cooperation Meena Mandal said today.

This plant, she said, would be set up by the Haryana State Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation (Hafed) to avail the benefit of latest technological know-how and upgradation which had taken place over the years in the industry, besides producing better quality of cattle feed.

She said the plant, expected to be commissioned by next February would be well-equipped with all the latest computerised batching system.

The installation of this system would not only enhance the cost efficient manufacturing facilities but also support the production of premium quality and reliable product having the features of accuracy in measurement, actual material usage report and complete database to counter the problem of adulteration.

Besides, various facilities like proper thermal conditioning would be introduced to produce safe and bacteria free feed having more content of predigested proteins.

The new plant would have latest grinding, mixing and proper thermal conditioning facilities which would ensure production of premium quality feed having uniform size, good outer finish and better acceptability to animals.
