Girls pip boys in MP high school exam results
Bhopal, June 14 (UNI) Girls outshone boys yet again in this year's Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education's high school exam whose results -- announced today -- pegged the pass percentage of regular students as 47.82, official sources said.
The boys' pass percentage was 46 while the corresponding figure for girls was 50.60 per cent.
Of the 4,93,545 regular students who appeared, 1,16,889 secured first class, 1,05,251 second and 13,890 third. The number of students who would have to appear for supplementary exams stood at 72,382.
As many as 94,739 students were registered as private candidates.
Of them 4,397 were absent and 513 results annulled. The division-wise break-up was first 1,952, second 9,201 and third 3,052.
