New Delhi, Jun 15 (UNI) The tussle between Health Minister Anbumoni Ramadoss and AIIMS Director P Venugopal is again likely to come to the fore at the AIIMS Institute Body meeting tomorrow during which the latter would be asked to submit a compliance report about its earlier decisions.

The meeting would also deliberate on the Thorat Committee report on alleged discrimination being faced by students on the basis of caste. The report, which was distributed among the members in the last meeting, has accused AIIMS administration for playing a pivotal role in the anti-quota agitation last year.

The eleven-member Institute Body, headed by Dr Ramadoss, would seek a compliance report from Dr Venugopal on various decisions taken at the May 7 meeting of Insitute Body.

The Institute Body would also ask about the fate of its directions regarding show cause notices to be issued to the AIIMS faculty Association members for their criticism of the health ministry. The alleged irregular appointment and subsequent promotion of 164 faculty members is also likely to come up at the meeting.
