Sudarshan Acharya to get Atibadi Jagannath Das award

Bhubaneswar, Jun 13 (UNI) Noted Research Scholar and Translator Dr Sudarshan Acharaya will receive the highest and prestigious 'Atibadi Jagannath Das' award, 2006.

The working council of the Orissa Sahitya Akademi, presided over by noted poet Hussain Rabi Gandhi, nominated Dr Acharaya for the highest literary award of the Akademi for 2006.

Dr Acharaya would receive a cash award of Rs 25,000 and a citation at a specially organised function here later.

Besides, 12 other writers of the state would also be felicitated by the Akademi with a cash award of Rs 2000 each and a citation for their valuable contribution in the enrichment of Oriya literature.
