Ravi Uppal to take over as President Global Markets ABB

Mumbai, June 13 (UNI) ABB, a leading power and automation group has announced that Mr Ravi Uppal, who is presently Head of South Asia Region and Country Manager for the company in India, will take over as President of Global Markets (GM).

Mr Uppal's appointment is effective from July 1 this year, the company said in a statement here today.

As part of his new role, he will be responsible for markets across all ABB regions and countries as well as the Group Account Management function and will report to Fred Kindle, Group President and CEO.

He takes over his new role from Mr Dinesh Paliwal, who is slated to exit from ABB at the end of this month.

Meanwhile he shall continue as Country Manager India and Head South Asia Region until further announcement, the statement added.
