No MNCs hoarding to be removed from Port Blair: PBMC

Port Blair, Jun 13 (UNI) The Port Blair Municipal Council (PBMC) has made it clear that no hoardings of Multinational Companies (MNCs) will be removed from Port Blair, the capital town of Andaman.

The PBMC would extend the license period for the advertisement agencies for a period of six months,'' Chairman of Port Blair Municipal Council Sher Singh said yesterday.

Talking to a delegation of Andaman and Nicobar Chamber of Commerce, the Chairman clarified that no hoarding would be removed or pulled down in Port Blair city as it was stated earlier in a public notice.

Early this week the PBMC had found that around 28 hoardings, most of which are of Multinational Companies, were found to be unauthorizedly displayed in Port Blair beyond validity.

The PBMC had also published a public notice asking all advertisement agencies to pull down all hoardings from Port Blair.
