Nikkei down 0.7 pc as Canon, exporters fall on US

Tokyo, June 13: The Nikkei average fell 0.73 percent on Wednesday with exporters such as Canon Inc. down following a fall in stocks in the United States, one of the biggest markets for Japanese goods.

The Nikkei share average was down 129.04 points at 17,631.87 as of 0001 GMT, and the broader TOPIX index lost 0.83 percent to 1,737.05.
