Minister regrets dwindling number of employees

Bangalore, Jun 13 (UNI) Karnataka Minister for Medium and Major Industry Katta Subramaniam Naidu today expressed concern over decrease in the number of employees in various Information Technology companies and observed that it did not augur well for the state's economy.

Speaking at a function after inaugurating an environmental park here, he said it was unfortunate that local talent was being ignored and those coming from outside were being encouraged.

If the trend continued the local youths would turn to crime and become dacoits, robbers and naxalites, he warned.

He suggested that the companies should strive to wipe out unemployment primarily at local level and concentrate on employing people from other states.
