Chahal seeks transfer of case to CBI

Chandigarh, June 13 (UNI) Former media advisor to ex chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh, B I S Chahal has sought the transfer of the case registered against him at Ludhiana Sadar police station by the Punjab Police to the CBI.

In a petition filed in the Punjab and Haryana High Court, he has also sought directions to the state Vigilance Bureau for giving an advance notice of 7 days if he was to be arrested or questioned in connection with any case.

Chahal is presently in police custody following three day remand given by a Ludhiana court in connection with a case registered on the basis of a complaint against him and his relatives about a piece of prime land in Daad village in Ludhiana district.
