UPA's economic policies will cost it dear: Muralidhar Rao
Coimbatore, June 12 (UNI) The UPA government's ''unplanned'' economic policies will cost it dear in the next Lok Sabha elections, Swadeshi Jagran Manch All India Convenor S Muralidhar Rao said today.
Talking to newspersons here, Mr Rao said the government, instead of formulating long-term plans for the welfare of farmers, was coming out with only short-term plans.
The government should frame a pro-farmer policy to help them sustain in the long run, he added.
He said while the corporate sector was availing bank loan at an interest of four per cent, the farmers were taking loan from private money lenders at an exorbitant interest rate.
