Three killed, two injured in two road accidents

Chittoor, June 12 (UNI) Three persons including a lorry driver were killed and two others injured in two different road accidents in this district today.

Police here said two business men were travelling to Somayajulapalli from Ramasamudram on a motorcyle when a private bus which was proceeding to Madanapalli from Mulabagal hit them.

Assian Saheb (36) and Vennkatesh Bauh (40) were killed on the spot at Ramasamudram mandal in the district.

In another incident at Palamaneru mandal, a 37-year-old lorry driver Mr Anandan, hailing from Namakkal in Tamil Nadu was killed on the spot and two others including a cleaner and another driver were injured when an iron-loaded lorry in which they were travelling hit a road side tree at Sakevuru on Kuppam road.

The mishap occured when the lorry was proceeding to Madhya Pradesh from Tiruchi in Tamil Nadu.

The injured, who also belonged to Namakkal in Tamil Nadu, were admitted at Palamaneru Government Hospital for treatment, police said.
