Stay extended on arrest of Akali Dal (A) leader

Fatehgarh Sahib, Jun 12 (UNI) A local court today extended the stay till June 21 on the arrest of Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) Senior Vice President Daljit Singh Bittu, who is charged with raising pro-Khalistan slogans.

Bittu had moved an application in the court of District Sessions Judge seeking issuance of directives to the police that he should be allowed to join investigations in the case registered against him for allegedlly raising pro-Khalistan slogans while protesting against Dera Sacha Sauda on May 31.

The court directed Bittu to join investigation by June 21.
