Bhubaneswar, Jun 12 (UNI) The Orissa government today decided to cover six lakh landless families under the Watershed Mission programme in the state.

The decision was taken at a high level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik while preparing for a five-year long term strategy for implementing the watershed mission in the state.

Mr Patnaik also directed the authority to intensify the watershed mission in the areas inhabited by the Juang, a primitive tribe in Orissa so that it would expedite the socio-economic benefit of the tribal community.
