Rectified spirit worth Rs 25 lakh seized

Palakkad, June 12 (UNI) The Excise mobile squad seized rectified spirit worth Rs 25 lakh from a lorry at Nellimedu near Meenakshipuram in this district early today.

The lorry from Tamil Nadu was proceeding to Thiruvananthapuram was intercepted by the squad at Nellimedu, excise officials said.

Two persons Kumar (23) and Nilavu Raju (22), hailing from Udhagamandalam in Tamil Nadu were arrested in this connection.
