Punjab Police picks-up aide of Chahal and two colonisers
Patiala, Jun 12 (UNI) A police party from Ludhiana police today 'picked up' Mohinder Mohan Singh, a close aide of detained former media advisor B I S Chahal from his Passy Road residence here.
Mr Singh, an Information Officer with the Punjab State Electricity Board (PSEB) was whisked away by the police party this morning, a PSEB officer confirmed.
Chahal, the high profile media advisor to former Congress chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh was arrested by the Punjab Police at Ludhiana yesterday on charges of land grabbing and threatening and beating up a farmer of Daad village near Ludhiana. Six of his relatives were also arrested alongwith Chahal.
Reports said that the Ludhiana police had also picked up two local colonisers late last night for their links with Chahal. The colonisers--Bhupinder Singh and Harbhajan Singh were the directors of B H Properties.
