Paddy seed research centre in East Godavari: Minister

Rajahmundry, June 12 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Agriculture Minister N Raghuveeera Reddy today said a paddy seed research centre would be established in East Godavari district for the convenience of the farmers.

Addressing at 'RYTU Sadassu' (farmers meet) here, he said as 15 lakh metric tonnes of paddy was yielded in the district, there was every need to set up a paddy seed research centre.

After consulting with district Collector and Agricultural University, the place would be chosen to establish such centre, he added.
