Opposition misleading people, alleges Minister

Hyderabad, June 12 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Roads and Buildings Minister T Jeevan Reddy today alleged that the Opposition parties were misleading the people on Andhra Pradesh government's sincere efforts to rectify anomalies in implementation of the Presidential Order on the employment to local people in all the six zones by the end of this month.

Addressing a press conference here, he said while the TDP had done nothing to implement Government Order(GO) 610 during its long rule, Telangana Rashtra Samiti Chief K Chandrasekar Rao had kept quiet till he was in power.

Mr Rao, who had been ''cheating'' the Telangana people since the formation of TRS in 1999, would not be able to cheat them any longer, he maintained, adding that the Government's decision to repatriate non-local Government employees was welcomed both by the Telangana Non-Gazetted Officers Association and the Andhra Pradesh Non-Gazetted Officers Association.

Stating that the Government had issued GO 399 only to facilitate rectification of the anomalies in the implementation of the Presidential Order relating to protect the jobs for local people in the six zones and in the spirit of 610 GO, he said, it was ready to receive suggestions from any section of people and modify the GO if needed.

GO 399 which is, empowering department heads to issue transfer orders to non-local employees in other regions, would only hasten the process of repatriation.
