Nikkei slips as trade turns cautious before BOJ
Tokyo, June 12: The Nikkei average fell 0.36 percent on Tuesday with shares in insurers such as Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Co. Ltd. down following a recent rally as trade become cautious ahead of the Bank of Japan's decision on interest rates later in the week.
The Nikkei finished the morning down 64.63 points at 17,769.85 and the broader TOPIX index shed 0.48 percent to 1,752.66.
